The SI485 has 2 functions : It isolates a RS485 2-wire bus and allows the matching and polarisation of the 2 RS485 lines. It is powered by 9 to 40 VDC and can be mounted on a 35MM DIN rail.
No configuration of the data rate or the data frame is necessary.
