| Mylesis : 60 MDM192 modems for the water supply network in Samarcande, Ouzbekistan | |||||
GTMH chose the MDM192 multi-drops digital modem to link the SCADA to the 60 pumping stations which make up the water supply network for the entire city of Samarcande. The MDM192 enables constant communication between the SCADA's software and the pumps, the distance between which can reach up to 10 kilometers at points. The SCADA and the pumps communicate using Modbus transmitted by a two-wire telephone line. The MDM192's multi-drops system was exploited fully by GTMH to simplify the network, reduce the amount of modems necessary by half and keep the number of two-wire telephone lines to a strict minimum. |
