Function
The MDM192 digital modem is designed for half-duplex asynchronous data transmission between PLCs. It is operational up to a 30km range on a two-wire private line.

Multidrop or point to point transmission
Data can be transmitted point-to-point or between several points connected to the same cable (multi-drops transmission).

Long range
The data to be transmitted is coded and treated in order to offer a long range (up to 20 Km), even in case of noise on the line.

Security
When using the MDM192 for a multi-drops transmission, all modems are connected to the line in parallel. If one modem fails, the other modems and terminals remain unaffected.
Moreover the modem is coupled to the line with a 4000 VRMS isolation transformer providing excellent overvoltage & lightning protection

Easy installation
The MDM192 can be immediately installed and configured thanks to an easily accessible bank of micro-switches.

Compatible
The MDM192 is able to transmit most asynchronous industrial field protocols.
