| 512 kbps ISDN connection on demand |
The inverse multiplexer can establish a 512
kbps link between two ISDN subscribers worldwide (four BRIs are required
for 512 kbps). The channel is opened by dialling the number of the appropriate correspondent. |
| Transparent transmission comparable to the service on a leased line |
Once communication has been initiated between two inverse multiplexers, they are invisible to the protocol being carried. The resulting service is consequently comparable to a 512 kbps leased digital line. |
| Compatible BONDING | The IM 512 uses the BONDING synchronization standard to "aggregate" ISDN channels. As a result it is compatible with most equivalent products on the market. |

| Compatible with most network equipment and videoconferencing codecs | The IM 512 interfaces with the data terminal via a V11
or V35 link. It is compatible with all network equipment fitted with this interface (routers, FRAD, TDM multiplexers, etc.). It is also compatible with most videoconferencing codecs. |
| Flexible operations | The multiplexer is simple to set up. In addition, the operator
can consult a detailed log for trouble-shooting. Calls can be made in a number of ways: - Manual dialling using the keypad on the front panel or via a VT100 terminal, - Command signal (DTR or C), - Synchronous or asynchronous V25 bis commands, - X21 commands. |
| Remote management | Multiplexer settings can be changed from a remote workstation, with an ISDN connection, using IATERMINAL software. |
